About Jazmine Williams- Gunnarson, MBA
Author • Illustrator • Literacy Innovator
Welcome!
Hi there! I’m Jazmine Williams- Gunnarson —an author, illustrator, and passionate advocate for early childhood literacy and inclusive education. As a mom of two and a creative entrepreneur, I’ve turned personal parenting challenges into tools to help children learn, grow, and findjoy in reading.
My Journey as an Author & Illustrator
In 2020, I created my first book, Hungry for a Snack, to help my nonverbal 1-year-old daughter communicate her needs. What started as a homemade menu of her favorite snacks (complete with hand-drawn illustrations!) blossomed into a series of 10+ children’s books and an app designed to promote speech, literacy, and life skills. My work focuses on:
-
Empowering nonverbal or speech-delayed toddlers to express themselves.
-
Teaching resilience, diversity, and inclusion through relatable stories.
-
Engaging kids with interactive learning—from blowing bubbles to celebrating cultural pride.
Featured Books:
-
Hungry for a Snack (Speech & Literacy Aid)
-
The Bubble Making and Recipe Book (Motor Skills & Science Fun)
-
Our Colorful School (Diversity & Inclusion)
-
Determination Meets Failure (Growth Mindset)
-
I’m New Here (ESL Support)
-
This Is My Body (Self-Respect)
...and more!

-
All materials included!
My Why
As a mom to a child with ASD, I understand the challenges of fostering communication and confidence in young learners. My professional background—a Bachelor’s in Fashion Marketing (with heavy art training!) and an MBA—equips me to merge creativity with practical solutions. Every book, app, and workshop I design is rooted in:
-
Love for literacy
-
Commitment to accessibility
-
Joy in learning
Let’s Connect!
I partner with schools, districts, and community leaders to bring inclusive literacy programs to your students. Whether it’s a workshop, author visit, or custom collaboration, let’s inspire the next generation together!
